Home Learning

Homework set for the sake of setting homework really has little educational value. We believe that home learning should be meaningful, interesting and accessible for our students.

Home learning will comprise of weekly tasks that are project-based and practical; some of which will be optional. It will allow for consolidation and extension of learning but our teachers will ensure that tasks are clearly explained so independent learning can take place without causing stress at home.

For younger children the amount of time spent on home learning will be less than our older students as they approach public examinations such as GCSE and A-Level, this practice is also based on educational research.
