Mr Matthew Barron

Before joining GEMS Al Barsha National School in 2017, Matthew held a leadership position in an expanding UK school. Working across the school’s departments, he developed his subject knowledge and understanding of a learner’s journey through the National Curriculum for England.

In addition to his degree BA Hons (University of Leeds), he holds a PGCE with Maths specialism and continues to develop his pedagogy through academic reading and workshops. His education and experiences have nurtured his passion for teaching and learning. He strives to provide enriched learning opportunities for staff and students to ensure that each individual is able to pursue and reach their goals.

For him, being part of school means being part of a community. He believes that communication and collaboration are the keys skills required to achieve the common goals and through this approach, we can ensure the success of our pupils.

Matthew looks forward to continuing the growth of GEMS Al Barsha National School and fostering future leaders, innovators and integral young men.
