Catherine is a passionate and experienced Senior Leader with demonstrable successful impact in both UK and international settings. Having completed her BA Combined Honours degree in Spanish and French at the University of Exeter, she then went on to study for her PGCE and Masters of Education at the University of Cambridge.
Before moving to the UAE, Catherine held a range of leadership roles in the UK in good and outstanding schools. She has experience of improving school inspection ratings in the UAE, as well as supporting other schools within the network on their improvement journeys.
Catherine has a keen interest in pedagogy and evidence based research to drive standards forwards and ensure the best possible experience for the students in her care. She thoroughly enjoys planning and delivering CPD sessions for colleagues in order to ensure that best practice is evident across the school.
In April 2022, Catherine received her NPQH accreditation. She is excited to put this to good use at GEMS Al Barsha National School and looks forward to working with the students, staff and families in shaping the education of the young men and women, who will become the future leaders of the UAE.
