Michelle has been in the GEMS National School family since she moved to Dubai in 2019 as a class teacher with various Middle Leadership roles and this is her second year as Assistant Principal in GNS. Michelle began her educational career in Dublin, Ireland where she gained her degree in Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree more than a decade ago. She then relocated to work in British schools in London where she developed her teaching and leadership skills over 5 years by leading on Pastoral, Reading, Mathematics and Continuous Provision in Outstanding schools in Central London.

Michelle is a dedicated educator with more than ten years’ experience in the English Curriculum, who is currently continuing her professional development by completing her Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Management, with a keen focus on English Language Learners. Michelle will endeavor to support the creation of an inspiring, engaging, and creative Curriculum by working with and training her peers on the latest strategies based on research and continuous reflection. She is excited to develop students’ life-long values and skills through developing their existing knowledge of High Performance Learning (HPL). She is also dedicated to ensuring Outstanding Teaching and Learning practice for the students at GEMS National School Al Barsha.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching and playing sports, including Gaelic football, tennis, and hurling. She has a passion for travel and enjoys exploring the world and experiencing new cultures.
