Ms Lorraine Clarke

My name is Lorraine. I have been at GNS for the past five years having been in the UAE for a total of 12 years so far. I have taught in both Ireland and the UAE and I am qualified English and French teacher. I have taught multiple curriculums including GCSE, IB, American and Irish. Whilst at GNS I have undertaken the role of Head of Pastoral and now I am Assistant Principal of Secondary. My pedagogy aims to ensure that students perform to the best of their ability and every student counts. This is achieved through high quality learning, fostering a pro-active and dynamic environment, and enabling students to take responsibility for their learning. All interactions I have with students are meaningful and I endeavour to consistently build positive relationships whereby students feel supported and content, therefore promoting a progressive student-centred approach. I am highly invested in the pastoral care of our GNS students whereby students feel supported, valued and empowered to reach their full potential academically, emotionally and socially on a daily basis.
