Ms Sophie Marren
Assistant Principal Secondary
Sophie Marren has been in education for over 13 years having started her educational journey as a teacher and leader in Bradford, England following gaining her BSc Degree in Psychology and PGCE at Leeds University, England in 2010. Sophie went into her first leadership post during her first year of teaching and since then, she has taken on a variety of leadership roles, including pastoral and academic leadership, which have provided her with a breadth of knowledge and vast experience of providing excellent education, both in the UK and the UAE.
Sophie is passionate and focused on her professional development and gained her NPQSL accreditation in 2021. Her personal approach to teaching is that it is a vocation, and that as educators, we have a responsibility to develop the whole person, not limiting our influences to the confines of our field of one specialisation; children and young people need the opportunity to thrive and excel with support and guidance in order to flourish and succeed. Sophie is committed to ensuring outstanding holistic educational provision for all students at GNS, helping students to foster a love of learning and providing them with the opportunities to develop and grow in a nurturing and inspirational environment.
